As always in her books there are obstacles to overcome, emotions to be explored and resolved. For me the best Gor books were those that took the tradition of the Edgar Rice Burroughs Mars books with John Carter and upped the ante on the action. Clearly, it would be best if one were to use the larger biography as you work through his life but in most small group settings people will not take that amount of time each week that it would take to read the entire biographical work.
