I bought this book largely on the quality of the reviews and on its do-it-anywhere marketing. The title of this book and the introductory poem ("Lament") led me to believe that I was going to be reading lots of overtly spiritual poems, which was a bit of a turn off, only because I am not interested in poetry of that nature. Daria comes across as very candid. They can be sorted by color for difficulty. Those interested in building linkages between organismal biology, physiology, community ecology, ecology, large scale ecology, or evolutionary biology need to read this book.. This was a nice find. A little longer than the other kids books about monkeys and has short paragraphs with a little glossary at the bottom of each page. He also has his tender moments as well. This is not a book that can be read cover to cover. In this masterful work of literary criticism, Killoran deftly opens new doors to Wharton studies.
