I've read -- or at least begun to read -- many books on Buddhism over the years, looking for an introduction I'd give without hesitation to friends and family, and I'm really grateful to have found this one.. I ended up learning as much about snakes as I did about the life of a herpetologist.I especially liked this book because I've visited some of the places Slowinski did and met some of the same Burmese scientists. The cover is so pretty , got this as a gift .My 10 year old little sister loves it . And funny. SPOILER END
