The author goes into detail about the various key cases that the Court heard and that Story either wrote the majority opinion or the dissenting opinion. It appears that people on the ground (Shapiro) and people in the various government organs than concern themselves with such things had totally different perceptions of what was happening. Chinese "invented rockets centuries ago." (p. 48, where the new section actually begins.(There are also a handful of minor misspellings, mostly in the textual citations from Spinoza: "th" for "the," "bu" for "but," and so forth. After that it was more gradual with plateaus and minor ups and downs. It is quite possible that in fact the necessary investments will be made, that new supply will come on stream "just-in-time" to meet the growing energy demands of another billion Chinese and another billion Indians eager to join the global economy and substantially raise their living standards.
